Dr. Christian Rolf is a national partner in the Executive Compensation and Employee Benefits Department of Willkie Farr & Gallagher LLP in Frankfurt. Dr. Rolf advises companies on acquisitions, redundancies, restructurings, reorganization of businesses in connection with labor law and social security issues. He also advises on transfer of businesses, employee pension issues, employee participation programs and share option plans. Dr. Rolf is also a member of the Frankfurt Compliance Group where he is specialized in HR compliance, data privacy and employment related aspects of internal investigations. Additionally, Dr. Rolf assists senior executives with employment contracts and matters related to compensation. Dr. Rolf, in particular, specializes in handling negotiations with works councils and trade unions.

Dr. Rolf is a member of the Frankfurt Bar Association and a member of the Labor and Social Affairs Committee of the AmCham Germany.

Prior Experience
Prior to joining Willkie, Dr. Rolf was a local partner at Dewey & LeBoeuf in Frankfurt. He began his professional career in 2000 practicing in the labor law group of Gleiss Lutz and later gained significant international experience while working in Gleiss’ Shanghai office and while pursuing secondments with Herbert Smith in London and Stibbe in Brussels and Amsterdam.

  • Red Fuel Cards in the acquisition and restructuring of the fuel card business from LOMO

  • Sate of North Rhine Westphalia in the restructuring of its public service real estate division

  • A leading U.S. manufacturer of medical devices on the HR and pension implications of a transfer of business
