It was recently announced that Toreador Resources Corporation, an independent energy company listed on the Nasdaq Global Market, completed a public offering of shares of its common stock for net proceeds of approximately $27.2 million and a private issuance of $31.6 million aggregate principal amount of new convertible senior notes as part of an exchange for a portion of the company’s existing convertible senior notes. Toreador is engaged in the exploration and production of crude oil in France. Toreador was advised by a Willkie team from the Paris, London and New York offices, including partners Laurent Faugérolas and Jon Lyman, special European counsel Philippe Grudé, and associates Danielle Scalzo, Charles Cardon, Vanessa Zecchinel, Philippe Bugnazet and Branwen Buckley.
