We have extensive experience conducting internal investigations of client organizations, typically on behalf of boards of directors or special committees. We represented the audit committee in one of the largest and most complex accounting-irregularities investigations ever, producing a report which the New York Times described as “a case study” and Fortune magazine said was “remarkable.” We recently mobilized a large team of attorneys for a months-long review of the internal policies and procedures of one of our insurance clients in connection with a significant trading loss. We were also called upon by a major financial services client to investigate allegations of impropriety in connection with the secondary offering of a subsidiary’s common stock. We conducted an internal investigation of a major medical client following allegations by an employee of certain improprieties.
